Sha3nineh 2009 in Zabbougha
Sunday, April 5th, 2009This year’s sha3nineh has come in a new form, a new way of celebration. Though we are reviving the old traditions, but it comes to all of us in a new form.
The mass started in Mar Elias Church (Catholic)…and then the procession was lead by a small boy wearing white riding a donkey. This embodies what Jesus Christ has done years ago on this day…the procession was conducted by two priests with all the zabboughiest follwoing them to reach Mar Giryis, where the mass continued and ended.
